Elect ASHLEY HULL
A NEW Voice, Building Educational Momentum
About Ashley
Ashley Hull (Ciofani) was born in Duncan BC and lived in various mill-town communities including Tahsis, 100 Mile House, and finally Nanaimo where she graduated high school.
After completing her degree in English Education from BYU-I in 2006 she then moved to Powell River with her spouse, Matthew. In a few short years, 5 children had come into their lives, but Ashley remained committed to strengthening her community through her involvement at the Powell River and District United Way, serving first as Treasurer and, for the past four years, as President.
Her interests have always stretched beyond herself and Ashley loves being part of a greater whole. From leading her high school student council to participation in the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive, President of the Women's Council at BYU-I and PAC member at James Thomson Elementary, Ashley considers it this life's great privilege to serve others.
Professionally, Ashley is currently using her education for the benefit of the children within the care of her home. She is excited to continue growing as she undertakes the role of advocate, uncovering the needs of Powell River students, parents, educators and engaged community members.
With proven leadership and passionate optimism for student potential, Ashley brings the energy needed to build momentum and opportunities for our youth. Please lend your support and vote!
"I believe that “staying the course” will not be enough for our Powell River students. Changing demands in the workforce mean we need to graduate students who are adaptive and well prepared for the opportunities they will be presented. Likewise, we need to elect a Board of Trustees who personify these same characteristics; individuals who can respond to upcoming challenges with optimism and the best interests at heart."
